DESCRIPTION:Sammy's Family Fun Run benefiting the Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation 5k / Kids Course\n\nJoin your neighbors for a Fun Family Run in Rock Creek. \n\nCome support the Remington family\, residents and founders of the Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation\, to raise money to help other families deal with the trauma and financial difficulties associated with heart disease.  This is the second annual fundraiser held in the Rock Creek neighborhood and we invite everyone to come out and enjoy some Heart Healthy Fun!  Run either the 5K or the kids' 1 -mile course and stick around for more games and activities in the park.  All proceeds go directly to the Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation. Each participant receives a t-shirt and pumpkin while supplies last.\n\n*** See Family Discount under "multi-person signup" during registration*****\n\n*About the Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation:  \n\nSamantha "Sammy" Remington was a resident of Rock Creek and 2011 graduate of Monarch High School who lost her battle to heart disease in February of 2016.  Sammy was a two-time recipient of heart transplants during her young life and dedicated much of her time supporting children and young adults through the trauma associated with heart disease.  Sammy's Family Fun Run hopes to honor Sammy's spirit and support the Remington family's continual goal to help other families whose young sons and daughters are struggling with heart disease through the Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation.
