9 Round Fitness and Rock Creek Living: Sammy's Heart Healthy Challenge...a Family Fun Fundraiser

Details: Similar to 9 Round Fitness circuit training, there will be 9 fun activities for participants to move through in short two-minute intervals, including basketball, Frisbee, hula hoop, jump rope, sit ups, crawling, planking, sliding, and zip lining.  

Food and drink will be on hand for purchase or bring your own picnic fixings.  All are welcome to take part and we encourage cheerleaders to make noise on the sidelines.  This is a fun neighborhood event that we hope will happen annually to support a worthy cause.

*Samantha Remington was a resident of Rock Creek and 2011 graduate of Monarch High School who lost her life in February of 2016 after a lifelong battle of health issues related to heart disease.  Samantha was a recipient of two heart transplants during her young life and dedicated much of her time supporting children and young adults through the trauma associated with heart disease.  The Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation was founded in 2010 to help families with the financial burdens that go hand-in-hand with the heartbreak of this disease.  Sammy’s Family Heart Health Challenge hopes to honor Sammy’s spirit and to support the Remington family’s continual goal to help other families with the financial difficulties of heart disease through the Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation.
