The lifestyle choices you make everyday play a big role in your overall health, your risk of cancer and other chronic diseases. Today in the U.S., the average risk of cancer in your lifetime is 1 in 2 for men and 1 in 3 for women. Lifestyle decisions include your dietary choices, exercise, exposure to environmental toxins, management of stress, quality of relationships and social support network, etc. Heredity plays a very small part in actual number of cancer cases, only about 10%. This is great news. This means we all have the ability to influence our health positively with lifestyle choices.
