About Us

Square One Move Organizers began with the simple truth: every human in transition deserves dignity, clarity, and compassionate support.
Founded by Lori Halbach, Square One started as a response to what she witnessed in her own family and community; aging adults and their loved ones overwhelmed by the emotional weight of downsizing, relocating, and letting go of a lifetime of belongings. It quickly grew into a mission-driven service built on trust, respect, and heartfelt advocacy.

Square One Move Organizers was created to lift both the visible and invisible weight of life transitions. We guide clients through the decisions that feel too big to make alone, whether that’s preparing a longtime home for sale, supporting an aging parent’s move to a safer environment, or simply helping someone reset their space and start with a renewed perspective.

At the core of our work is a commitment to honoring each individual’s emotional wellbeing and story. We don’t just pack boxes or clear rooms. We listen, encourage, and create order in moments that often feel unbearable. As a Certified Senior Move Manager® and Client-Advocate™, Lori built Square One on professionalism, compassion, and a deep respect for the people we serve.
